Terms of use
Plain-English summary first; the formal terms follow.
The summary
- You must be 18+ to post or buy.
- Don't list illegal items, weapons, drugs, counterfeits, or adult services. We'll remove them and may ban you.
- Don't impersonate someone else. Don't use Spotbly to harass anyone.
- Spotbly is a venue — we don't own, inspect, or guarantee the items being sold.
- If you break these terms, we may suspend your account without notice.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Spotbly, and a UK resident. By creating an account you confirm you meet both.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to post or transact in: stolen goods; firearms or replicas; controlled drugs or paraphernalia; counterfeit branded goods; tobacco or alcohol (without a licence visible in the listing); live animals from unlicensed breeders; human remains or body parts; offensive weapons; tickets for resale above face value where prohibited; adult sexual services; or anything otherwise illegal under UK law.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of your listing text and photos. You grant Spotbly a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, cache, and distribute that content for as long as it is published on the platform.
4. Our role
Spotbly is a venue connecting buyers and sellers. We are not party to any transaction. We do not handle the goods, inspect them, or guarantee them. Disputes between buyer and seller are between buyer and seller, although we will assist with reasonable investigations of fraud.
5. Fees
Listing fees, featured-placement fees, and other charges are shown before you pay. Fees are non-refundable except where required by UK consumer law.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, our liability for any cause arising from your use of Spotbly is limited to the fees you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
